The Swiss team has had a terrific tournament so far but it seems that they may have met their match in Nigeria. Nigeria with so much skill and physical strength as well as the overwhelming support of the football raving Nigerians could prove too much for the Swiss to handle. Cliquesports Management partner Kitan Olateru-Olagbegi is of the opinion that the Swiss are technically the best team at the tournament. He went on to state on channels TV that ‘They have the most individually gifted players and seem to know themselves and understand each other’s game inside out. If there is a team at the tournament that is capable of upsetting Nigeria, it is the Swiss. Players like Ben Kalifa, Ricardo Rodriguez and the Goalkeeper Kriegist have been outstanding. Its all finely poised to be a truly epic battle. Nigeria could however still use the massive home support to their advantage.’ Edafe Egbedi has expressed his joy at being able to represent Nigeria in the final of a world cup and has promised to play his part in the effort to bring the U17 World cup trophy home. ‘The Swiss are a good team but our team has played very well and keeps getting better with every game. By the grace of God we should be victorious and win the cup for all Nigerians’. Coach John Obuh has also sounded a word of caution before the game. ‘We must concentrate for the 90 minutes and play to our strengths. The team has done very well so far but it has come down to the final with a resolute fighting spirit and the team cannot afford to let this fantastic opportunity slip. We will surely win the cup for Nigerians come Sunday.’
